BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Tewdric’s Church, Mathern

The dial extends across the full south side of the tower, over eight courses of stonework, and must be the largest church dial in the kingdom. It declines 8 degrees east and shows 6am to 4pm in Arabic numerals in half and quarter hours. All lines and numerals are painted black on stone. The hour lines emanate from a semicircle. Rod gnomon supported by double foot ’V’ arch.
