BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Central Car Park, Cheadle

On grass verge at entrance. Armillary sphere of 6 rings. Motto reads: "Tempus Fuit Est Et Erit". [Time has been, is and is to be]. Shows 5am to 7pm in half and quarter hours. Numerals infilled in red. Gnomon is simple rod without arrow décor. Set on copper cone support with motto around its base. Circular stone block pedestal on 3 step base. The whole ten feet high.
