BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ingoldmells Church, Ingoldmells

In front of the church, the dial is maked on the top chamfered edge of the base of the 1914-1918 Memorial Cross, which is aligned to magnetic north. Arabic hour numerals are marked around the west, north and east edges, 5 - 10 (at the corner) - 12 - 4 (at the corner) - 6. The edges of the cross act as the gnomons, and hour lines are drawn on the top. The sides of the base are inscribed: ’Christus’ (W), ’Solus Mihi / Anno DNI’ (S), ’Salus / 1600MB’ (E) and ’JO:CLARKE’ (N). [Christ alone is my salvation].
