BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Mannington Hall (2), Saxthorpe

Set on large ornate square section pedestal (too big for the dial) with leaf swags décor. The top of the capital is cracked. Aligned Roman numerals IIII - XII - VIII, read from the outside, with 30, 15 and five minute intervals, and fleur-de-lys half hour marks. 8-point compass rose with floral infill, labelled SW etc. Equation of Time monthly tables. Signed at the south in a cartouche ’F. Barker & Sons / MAKERS / LONDON’.
