BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bannatyne Spa Hotel, Hastings

The hotel is reached from a roundabout on the A2100, half way between Hastings and Battle. The dial is (probably) on the rear lawn, set on a circular section pedestal on a circular plinth. The house was built by Gen Murray who served under Wolfe and named it after his Canadian Estate, and the dial may therefore be old. It was later owned by Sir James Bland Burgess. More information requested.
