BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Pines garden, St Margaret’s Bay

One of two dials at this location, this dial sits on the patio wall. There is a circular dial scale on a square dialplate having cut off corners strictly making an octagon. Hours are shown from 4am to 8pm in 30, 10 and 5 minute marks. Some of the marks do not appear to point to the gnomon root. Roman numerals use the form XII and IIII and are read from the inside of the dial. The dial is very corroded and has a four hole fixing.
