BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

An inscription around the outer edge reads: ’Thine be the glory risen conquering son’. The Lat/Long and the church name are also shown. The maker’s name is on rear curved edge of solid sigmoidal gnomon. The leading edge of the gnomon is chamfered to avoid the need for a noon gap. City names are arranged along the hour lines, showing, unusually, the time at the city when it is noon here (normally ’geographical’ dials show the time here when it is noon at the marked city). ’Greenwich’ is inscribed below the XII numeral.
