BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Blackwell House, Bowness-on-Windermere

Shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Numerals aligned with hour lines and viewed from inside the dial. Uses XII and IIII. Noon gap. Inscribed ’Egginton’. Four hole fixing. Unusual gnomon with arched base. Set on compound stone pedestal comprising three columns 1000 high and two step base 205h.
