BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

The motto reads: "Sunny Hours". Date on dial is 1749 but with that motto this almost certainly incorrect. There is a Royal Coat of Arms with supporters in the dial centre. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks using XII and IIII, the numerals read from the outside. Noon gap. The gnomon is missing. Three hole fixing. On cylindrical pillar with circular capital and square plinth.
