BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

Shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from inside. Two sets of four securing holes. Four in the corners (in use) and four inner ones arranged NSEW not in use. Floral supporter to gnomon. Vandalism makes reading the dial difficult. Location now under a tree doesn’t help! Set on excellent cylindrical column with square bowl-like capital and three step circular plinth.
