BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sun Dial House, Great Horton

An elegant vertical stone dial. The motto reads: "Time flyeth swiftly away". White painted stone breakarch dial plate with gold furniture and with motto in arch. Initials TH and date below arch. Seven declination lines. Further initials WS (William Swain occupant at that time) and date of 1854 on lower shelf like support that is supported by two corbels which hides the hour numerals around noon. Uses XII and IIII. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Elaborate gold gnomon and scrolled supporter.
