BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Golders Hill Park, Camden

Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 5 and 1 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals viewed from inside. Zigzag transversal ’vernier’ method of marking minutes. EoT graph and info re longitude correction. Conventional compass marks for West, through N to E and with reverse bearings for establishing the sun’s azimuth. Gnomon kept in office for safe keeping though its angle is 55 degs instead of 51-30. The image is from a postcard of approximately 1910 vintage, and may show the pedestal and the location - not confirmed. More information and photograph requested.
