BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Motto reads: "Tempus Fugit". Shows 4am to 8pm in hours. Uses XII and both IIII (for 4am) and IV (for 4pm). Numerals read from inside. Hour lines drawn to sector drawn around gnomon root. Open gnomon having ’S’ supporter. Set on tapered circular section stone pedestal with circular top and base.
