BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Churchyard, Ovington

Motto reads: "Behold youre hour". Circular dial on square plate which may not be the original on this old pedestal. Date of 1697 may not be correct. Dial may be dated 1950s. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Noon gap. Hour lines pass through numerals which are read from the outside. Four hole fixing with flower décor around the holes. Set on cylindrical stone pedestal (marked with four crosses) with circular capital and square base. Capital inscription reads "Abide under the shadow of the Almighty". With a cross patty. Other inscriptions on pedestal.
