BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Margaret’s Church (1), Whatfield

Square stone sundial inset in brick wall over entrance into South porch. The dial has a wooden surrounding frame. The chapter ring and the rest of outer dial stone is painted or otherwise finished differently than the dial plate proper. The time is shown from 7am to 4pm in quarter hours. There is a Sun (larger) and Crescent Moon (smaller) décor in the top left and right corners respectively. The gnomon is a bold iron strip with a single horizontal supporter. A second (older) dial is inside over the inner porch door.
