BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary the Virgin Church, South Benfleet

Motto reads: "Certa Ratio?". Date reads 1704? Though this may be false. Shows 4am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside. Noon gap. Base of gnomon still attached showing it used a single ’S’ supporter. Circular dial on square plate with four hole fixing. Hour lines drawn from a double circle centred on the gnomon root and through the numerals. Date in circle and motto at South of dial. Located in NE of churchyard.
