BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

A circular cast brass dial is set on a square section pillar topped by a chamfered square mounting stone. It shows the hours 4am to 8pm in Arabic numerals divided into periods of 30, 15, and 7.5 minutes. In the centre is a sun face surrounded by an 8-point compass rose. The gnomon root does not lie on the 6am 6pm line. Though it carries the date 1767 the dial was probably made near the end of the 20th century. The motto reads ’Let ithers tell of stiorms and showers, I’ll only tell the sunny hours’.
