BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

The dial is in the churchyard. The motto reads: "Tyme waynes away; Flowers decay; Amyddst Ye Flowres; I tell Ye houres", arranged around the four sides. There is a sunface at the centre with rays projecting under an unusual inner located chapter ring to the time ring on the outside. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 minute marks with a noon gap, the numerals being read from outside. The gnomon is cast and has a fish/dolphin supporter. The dial is set on a square section column with dedications in relief on the east and north faces.
