BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lincolnshire

The dial is by the path to the south porch. It shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks, using XII and IIII, the numerals being read from inside the chapter ring. The ornate ’S’ supporter to gnomon possibly has parts broken away. The date may read 1863 but the dial looks older than that (and the church tower is dated 1684). The gnomon is aligned with the flats of the octagon. The dial is set on a straight sided octagonal column with octagonal base and capital.
