BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

This is a semicircular white painted dialplate with black letters. The motto reads :"Tempus Fuget" [sic]. The numerals and hour lines were yet to be painted in 2000. The date is split either side of the gnomon, and the motto is arranged in a semi circle below the gnomon root. The gnomon is a rod held by a cast lead hand projecting from the wall. The gnomon angle appears correctly to be 48 degrees. The dialplate is rather too small to accept the shadow of the rod. Report from designer.
