BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial Cottage (2), Scaldwell

The dial is on the SSW wall of the cottage. White square diamond shaped dial within a right square stone. Roman numerals arranged around lower two edges. Motto may exist around upper two edges but is unreadable. Shows 8am to 6pm in hours. No hour lines visible but numerals aligned with them!. Uses XII and IV. Four circular depressions in corners increase in diameter clockwise from top left. Date deduced from that of the house which is displayed over front door.
