BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

Motto reads: "I only count your sunny hours". This in inner ring. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Noon gap. Numerals viewed from outside. Hour lines pass through numerals. 3 hole fixing. Single ’S’ supporter to gnomon. Set on square topped coarse stone pedestal in the rear garden. J Cooke inherited the Davey Lamp Works in Birmingham. After its collapse in the 1930s he continued to make dials.
