BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

Motto reads: "Tempus Umbra". Painted dial having white outlined numbering on blue chapter ring with same for motto panel in centre. Blue hour lines from an terracotta sun cross a brick ground.. Iron rod gnomon slightly out of true. Dial wrongly shows 9am to 8pm in half and quarter hours with central Noon line allocated to 2pm. Small lozenge markers show half hours and faint white ones the quarters. Painted white trompe d’oeuil top and bottom frame with shield on lower edge showing an old penny, lime leaf/fruits and the lawns.
