BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

Motto reads: "Let others tell of storms and showers; I’ll only count your sunny hours". False date of 1767. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Numerals in line with and pierced by hour lines. Knuckleduster type of gnomon piercing. Top of gnomon bent down. In 2000, gnomon mounted wrong way round. Three hole fixing. Set in centre of an annular birdbath. 60th birthday present to owner.
