BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Library, Higham Ferrers

The dial is on the wall of the Library (formerly the Parish rooms). The motto reads: "I make no sound yet the hours I tell". Breakarch style dialplate heavily incised with large sun in arch. 3-nil-3 banded patterning around dialplate and then a thickset edging border. The whole inset into stone wall just above the drip ledge. Gnomon root set at lower part of sunface. Surface mounted gnomon with single ’S’ supporter. Shows 7am to 6pm in hours. Uses cross patty for Noon. Motto is placed across the dial lines just above the horizontal band of the chapter ring..
