BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Motto reads: "Let others tell of storms and showers, I only count your sunny hours". This around outer edge. Start/End of motto is unusually positioned at 7am. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Half hours marked by inward lines with lozenge ends. Uses XII and IIII. Noon gap. Numerals read from outside. Hour lines pass through numerals. Single ’S’ supporter to gnomon. Three hole fixing.
