BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

’Felstead’ (1), Wellingborough

A nice dial, being an incised stone slab inset into modern house wall under the gable end. It was there when present owner moved in. Shows 6am to 4pm in hours. Sun at root with stylised flames around. Outside that is a motto though it is indecipherable from the photo, believed to be Latin. Strip gnomon with finger end and single ’S’ supporter.
