BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Farm, Paulerspury

The dial is over the front door. It was designed by the house owner, and has the appearance of being copied from a continental design. Gnomon angle suggests a lower design latitude and shape and décor do the same. Rectangular dial space surmounted by a square holding the date (perhaps this is the house date) and this is surmounted by circular finial. The whole having dark markings on blue ground. Single arc at a radius from root. Arrow from root points to an ’X’ at lower left. This is the only obvious time related mark.
