BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

The Hall is to the north of the village. The dial is in the orchard, set on a short square section bellied pedestal with lower stylised acanthus décor. There is a breakarch shape to each face, all surmounted by a ball finial. The dial was restored in 1991. All gnomons are present as solid sheet iron. The lines and numerals are painted black on stone. The south face shows 6am to 6pm in hours, with noon not marked, and the west shows 2pm to 8pm in hours. The east face shows 4am to 10 am in hours, and the north shows 4-8am and 4-8pm in hours. The north gnomon shows signs of refixing. A lovely dial.
