BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

The dial is In the garden to the north-west of the house. It is a modern pressed or cast dial with a compass rose outside a sunface, and shows 4am to 8pm in 30 and 15 minute marks. Hour lines pass through the numerals. The motto reads: ’Let others tell of storms and showers I’ll only count your sunny hours’. False date of 1767. A paper label on the back says ’Manufactured in England by Bel’.
