BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Northamptonshire

The dial s to the south=east of the house. Mottoes read: "Amyddst ye fflowres I tell ye houres". "Tyme waynes awaye As fflowres decaye". "Beyond ye tombe ffreshe fflowres bloome", "soe man shall ryse above ye skyes". Mottoes set on the four edges around the dial. Date shown is 1764 though this is probably false. Shows 5am to 7pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Chapter ring unusually set inside the dial proper. Time ring on outer edge of dial circle with sunface’s flames just touching it. Four shields in the corners inside of the mottoes. Uses XII and IIII. Read from outside. Cast gnomon with dolphin supporter. Four hole fixing.
