BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Malthouse Court, Towcester

The dial is in the garden to the SW of the house, set on a reconstituted baluster pedestal with an octagonal capital. Elaborately pierced leaf décor gnomon. Shows 5am to 7pm in 30 and 5 min marks. Fleurs de lys half hour markers. Full hour lines drawn for 6am to 6pm only and then these go to gnomon. Very small Roman numerals identify summer time scale. Compass is set S of gnomon. Numerals read from inside the chapter ring. Noon mark as well as XII. Uses IV. Noon is at one corner of octagonal shape .
