BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Mary the Virgin, Great Washbourne

Lower left corner of East window. Very early East dial, at low height (1.5 m) (cf mass dials) Gnomon fixings (lead) still visible. Hour lines look like scratched lines. Shows 4 am to 11 am (Numerals for 6 - 11 though none for 4 and no 11 am line). 11 o’clock numeral may be later addition. Chancel rebuilt in 1642 - this may be date of dial.
