BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter & St Paul’s Church, Milton-next-Gravesend

A west declining dial, mounted on two carved stone corbels. The motto reads: ’Trifle not - your Time’s but short’. There are two Churchwardens’ names, now almost illegible but possibly John Keddall and Wm Marriott. It also had declination and azimuthal scales, now not visible, and the gnomon carried a ball nodus. Below the dial is a stone plate commemorating the Rev Joseph Porr, Rector, who died in 1797. Ref: The Kentish Traveller’s Companion, Thos Fisher, 1794 p107. Invicta Magazine, Sept 1910.
