BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Leonard’s Church, Middleton

A well chosen motto, "Lose no time", tops this vertical direct south-facing dial, which is set high up on the south-east corner of St Leonard’s Church not far from the busy centre of Middleton. The wooden dialplate shows times from 6.00 am to 5.00 pm in Roman numerals, with a singly supported iron gnomon. The dial is in good condition and is believed to date from 1880.
