BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk
Motto reads: "As Tyme and houres passeth away so douth the life of man decaye". Stylised sun face at gnomon root uses hour lines as rays. Four hole fixing at alternate corners within motto. Split noon line. Two hole pierced gnomon. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 marks. Numerals read from outside the chapter ring with scale on extreme outer edge. Half, quarter and eighth hour lines point inwards without embellishment. Hour glass and scythe drawn in angle of 1-4pm. Some lines part polished away - dial and gnomon patina is lost. and some engraving errors. Dial bought in Hants around 1986.
This is a 19th or early 20th century dial.
