BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Jersey

Breakarch design with letters and date in arch. Letters CVC and AMC refer to Connell family who designed the dial from other examples. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours. Hour lines run to gnomon root though there is a circle around it. Strange confusion with numerals for 2, 3, and 5pm? Bent rod gnomon with single supporter on ’U’ shaped foot. Thought to have replaced an earlier, slate dial which was missing when present owners arrived.
