BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Crutchfield House, Avening

Near patio to W of house. No details noted. Mounted on excellent Cotswold stone spiral columned pedestal with circular capitals and square base. Dial inset into capital. Familiar ’knuckle duster’ gnomon supporter. Gnomon top slightly bent. Central compass rose and Roman numerals (read from inside the chapter ring) discernible from photograph.
