BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

South Church Street, Callander

The motto reads: ’Non Rego Nisi Regor’ (I do not rule [ie the time] unless I am ruled [ie corrected]). EoT in form of graph. An inscription reads: ’I mark not the hours unless they be bright, I mark not the hours of darkness and night. My promise is solely to follow the sun, and point out the course his chariot doth run’. The dial is mounted on a 760 diameter column mounted in turn on an ornate light coloured stone plinth 760 x 760 x 250. It is surrounded by six horizontal stones, one with a plaque. No time scale details have been recorded. The dial may have earlier been sited at Callander Kirk, and now stands near the footbridge.
