BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

The dial is mounted on a circular section shaped sandstone pedestal with a circular base and square capital. Much of it is rendered illegible by rust from the fixings, and the gnomon appears to be of iron or steel. The dial shows 4am to 8pm in hours only. The dial plate is fixed on or through another square plate, with 18 fixing screws! The thick gnomon has a scrolled supporter.
