BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Numerals read from outside the chapter ring. Maker’s name (at S of dial) read from inside. Uses XII and IIII. Split noon line. Hour lines emanate from a circle at gnomon root. Three hole fixing. Gnomon has separate fixings for root and for ’S’ supporter. Set on elegant stone baluster pedestal with square capital and two step plinth.
