BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

Motto reads: "If Sol his radiant rays display I will disclose the hour of day". 16pt Compass rose labelled. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 10 and 5 min marks. Numerals read from inside chapter ring. Outer ring for EoT Clock Faster Slower type with zero on Ap15/Jn15/Ag31/Dc24. In the eight spandrels outside the EOT are inscribed ’E Q U A T I O N’. Dial marked as constructed for William Crouch Esq. Charleville (now Rath Luire, Co Cork), Lat 52.
