BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Modern circular dial with slightly bent gnomon and ’knuckle duster’ support. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals viewed from outside the chapter ring. Half hours marked by three dot motif on inward pointing lines. Central compass formed from overlapping 4 point stars. Two point fixing (N & S). On cylindrical stone pedestal with round plinth and hexagonal capital. Dial replaces one stolen some time ago. Pedestal believed to be original and dated 1928. <
