BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial is mounted on a slim stone baluster pedestal with square capital and square pyramidal base. It shows the time from 5am to 7pm, in quarter hours, Roman numerals indicating the hours. Two circles at the gnomon root are marked with the S, E and W compass directions, with N being marked by a fleur-de-lys at the gnomon heel. The hour lines are also drawn from these two circles to the hour numerals. The gnomon is missing. Between the hour numerals ornate scrolls are inscribed.
