BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial House, Amersham Common

A 20th century Pearson Page vertical dial in cast metal has a decorative upper part showing a charioteer and two horses while the lower part contains the dial. It shows 6am to 6pm divided into half hours. A false date ?1765 can be seen below the noon position. As this is a direct south dial on a north wall it can only be there for decoration.
