BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

This memorial dial shows 4am to 8pm in hours, using XII and IV, the numerals being read from outside the chapter ring. There is no split noon line. All the patterning is in relief. The dial stands on a stone octagonal pedestal and capital, carved with memorial information. It is located on a path to the south of the nave.
