BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Layton Manor House (prev Swinburn Hse), Greystoke

Bent knuckleduster gnomon. Shows 4am to 8pm in hours and possibly half hours.. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the chapter ring. Set (though not fixed) on circular capital of cylindrical stone column (ex bird bath?) with large circular one-step plinth. (Size confd by RS 2006)
