BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

29, Peckham Rd, Southwark

The dial is set high above the main entrance to the building, within a moulded stonework frame at the parapet, with arch-work above. The motto reads: ’Do today’s work today’. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours and half hours. All the furniture is formed in metal rods attached to the stonework. The plate gnomon has shaping to the under edge and similar shaping to the vertical mounting edge. The building was owned by Local Board of Guardians in the early 20thC.
