BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Burnby Hall Gardens, Pocklington

Dial No 1. Inscr reads: "THE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE 11.9.75 11.9.1990". Shows 5am to 7pm in 15 min marks. No especial half hour markers. Split noon line. Hour lines ’pass under’ the chapter ring to the edge of the dial. Square around gnomon root limits hour lines. Four hole fixing. Mounted on a pedestal of engineering brick, topped with 4 earthenware tiles and sat on a circular brick base. Compare SRN 7297 at the same address.
