BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary & St Askelda’s Church, Middleham

The dial on the right hand side of the porch has a breakarch stone frame. Black lines on stone/render. Circle with four diameters lies across the horizon line and into the arch. Simple thin bar gnomon with arc support. Shows 5am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IV. No 6am line is indicated (time moving from 5am to 7am) and some hour lines are incorrectly placed. Dial previously used as a flagstone.
